Melanie recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology at the University of Melbourne with first class honours.

Her thesis used the semantic content of moral justifications to examine the cognitive processes at work in moral decision-making. Melanie also holds a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Monash University.

Melanie’s broad interest in social psychology is drawn from her involvement in governance of community organisations, and engagement with measures to improve the political representation of women. Her professional and volunteer experience spans the private, government, and non-government sectors.

In the role of research assistant at the Centre for Ethical Leadership, Melanie works on projects addressing business ethics and supports the psychology research of Dr Melissa Wheeler and Professor Robert Wood.
