Is there a place for ethical leadership in the modern business environment?

Leaders in business, the professions and all other aspects of a functioning society need to champion ethical behaviour. 

If a society is to operate effectively and for the benefit of all, then it needs to operate within a set of rules that are dependent on ethical standards.  Those rules lie at the core of a civil and just society and must promote honesty, fairness, equality, dignity and respect for others.
